My City : Shopping Mall is a free educational mobile video game wherein you get to run the mall of your dreams. Developed by My Town Games Ltd., this 2D dollhouse game app is set in the digital open world of the various My City games and features a whole new location.
Similar to My City: Bank and My City: Hospital, My City : Shopping Mall features a new area that you can access, which offers various new items and activities you can enjoy. However, take note that there’s no story here as it’s designed for children around ages 5 - 12.
The mall’s got it all
The My City game series is a collection of educational life simulation games that teach kids about the world around them. It mostly focuses on broadening their knowledge of places that they probably haven’t personally visited yet—such as the police station, hotel, and airport. It even includes special themes such as mansions, the life of a celebrity, and even real-life locations like foreign cities.
Here in My City : Shopping Mall, you can now access the mall district area—which contains various smaller locations and amenities that you would normally find in a shopping mall. From fashion stores and arcades to a food court and movie theater, there are tons of activities you can play around with using the various customizable characters. This game still has full interactivity with all items you can find, too.
What’s really great about this app, though, is that it connects to other My City games so you can use the characters here on other locations. Plus, it supports multi-touch for a multiplayer experience, has no ads since it’s a one-time purchase, and offers daily login rewards. However, don’t expect there to be cutscenes or music to accompany you in this game. It’s highly reliant on player input.

While there’s no actual story to guide you, there are lots of content here—from the interactive items to the numerous customization options—that you won’t really get bored with it after a while.
